The Commandments of God

The Greatest Commandment is

(Matthew 22:37-39):

You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it:  You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

As charity comprises the two commandments to which the Lord

related the whole Law and the prophets...so the Ten Commandments

were themselves given on two tablets.  Three were written on one

tablet and seven on the other.   The first three concern love of God,

and the other seven love of neighbor.

God is a loving and forgiving God!

He knows & understands 'Obedience' is not always easy.

The Commandments of God are

(Exodus 20:2-17; Deuteronomy 5:6-21):

I.                    I am the Lord thy God; thou shalt not have strange gods before me.

II.                 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.

III.               Remember to keep holy the LORD’s day.

IV.               Honor thy father and thy mother.

V.                 Thou shalt not kill.

VI.               Thou shalt not commit adultery.

VII.            Thou shalt not steal.

VIII.          Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

IX.               Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife.

X.                 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s goods.

                    World Power July 2006
There are people in the United States and in Countries
all over the World who today are trying to take God
and His Commandments out of your life. They do not
want you and your children living in "God's Truth."
Jesus taught us we must worship the one true God in
and through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.  We
must manifest the truth of our worship through actions inspired by the same Holy Spirit.  Jesus teaches the unconditional love of truth.  Do you want to live it?
"Let what you say be simply Yes or No."

   LIVING IN THE TRUTH

The Old Testament attests that God is the source of all truth. His Word is truth. His law is truth. His "faithfulness endures to all generations."

Since God is "true," the members of his people are called to live in the truth.  In Jesus Christ, the whole of God's truth has been made manifest. "Full of grace and truth," he came as the "light of the world," he is the Truth.  God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in Spirit and Truth.
